The New CEO of DCPA Discusses Its Successful Past and Plans for the Future

Denver Center for the Performing Arts President & CEO Janice Sinden will give an overview of the DCPA which is the largest non-profit theatre organization in the nation. Coming off of the most successful season in its nearly 40-year history, Janice will offer insight into the DCPA's four signature lines of programming; Broadway, Theater Company, Cabaret and Off-Center. Additionally, she will address the Center’s education and audience development efforts, all of which are designed to make unforgettable shared experiences for our increasingly diverse community.


About Janice Sinden:

Janice Sinden joined the Denver Center for the Performing Arts as President & CEO in September 2016. Before the DCPA, she served as Chief of Staff for Denver Mayor Hancock for five years. During this time, she was part of numerous projects that aimed to support the creative community in Denver, including IMAGINE 2020 and The Next Stage. Janice has been recognized by 5280 magazine as one of the 50 most influential people in Colorado, by the Colorado’s Women’s Foundation as one of the 25 most influential women in Colorado, by the Girl Scouts of Colorado as a Woman of Distinction and by the University of Northern Colorado Department of Political Science and International Affairs as Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. She currently serves on the Boards of several organizations including the national Performing Arts Centers Consortium, the Denver Preschool Program and Mental Health Colorado.
