ABOUT GREG DOBBS
Since 2004, Greg Dobbs has been a correspondent for HDNet Television’s World Report. In addition to domestic programs for World Report, Greg has covered such diverse world issues as: Vladimir Putin’s politics; the legacy of Agent Orange in Vietnam; the Columbian Drug War; deepwater oil drilling in Mexico; terrorism in Egypt and Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez. He also covers the U.S. Space Program and has anchored live from Florida for every space launch since the Columbia disaster.
Before joining HDNet, Dobbs spent 23 years at ABC News reporting from nearly 80 countries around the world. His major domestic stories included: The Watergate scandal; The Indian occupation of Wounded Knee and The Exxon Valdez oil spill. Major overseas assignments included: The Iranian revolution; The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan; The Gulf War; The Iran-Iraq war and the leadership transition in the Soviet Union.
Dobbs has also been a talk show host on KOA in Denver as well as a columnist for the Denver Post and The Rocky Mountain News. For 6 years, he hosted the Emmy-award winning program Colorado State of Mind for Rocky Mountain PBS.
Besides his new book Life in the Wrong Lane, he is author of a university level journalism text called Better Broadcast Writing, Better Broadcast News.
